Thank you for another incredible year! Once again, our 17th Annual “Help the Kids” Golf Tournament for Larc School was an amazing success!
With beautiful sunny skies, our largest group of morning golfers joined us bright and early for the 7:30 a.m. shot gun start. As the day continued and the temperatures continued to rise, so did everyone’s spirits as the afternoon golfers hit the course—in total almost 180 golfers! Many stayed for dinner and brought guests making the evening reception our largest ever at just over 200 people.
This event is truly one of my favorites filled with laughter and warmth much like that of a family reunion. I thoroughly enjoyed everyone’s company and generous spirit. Those of you who know me know that I don’t play golf, but I can honestly say that there is no place I’d rather be the first Friday of every June than on the golf course with all of you.
From our sponsors to our golfers to our volunteers, everyone played a part in making the tournament a success, and ultimately, life a little bit better for a child with a disability. Please understand that what may have been a simple act for you, for us becomes an endless gift. Larc School and our students continue to grow and prosper only because of great friends, new and old, who loyally support us through the years. As this 40th Anniversary school year comes to an end, it is clear that we did not reach this milestone alone.
