Golf

There is a saying that I’m sure many of you are familiar with, “The best laid plans of mice and men…”

With a valiant effort, our morning golfers at the 18^th Annual “Help the Kids” Golf Tournament set out to brave the weather and enjoy a round of golf. However, after 18 years of good weather, albeit with some delays and soggy golfers, but never having had to cancel golf, this year’s afternoon golfers never even made it to their carts.

Although the day did not go exactly as planned, Larc and our families—no strangers to facing challenges on a daily basis—moved on with high spirits and hopeful hearts to the next task at hand. With the dinner still on, we eagerly awaited our friends arrival. What started out as a dreary day ended with a fabulous evening filled with friends, fun and festivities!

The only thing left for me to do is say thank you. Thank you for your continued support in such difficult economic times. Thank you for allowing Larc to fulfill its mission and give these very special children every opportunity to grow and flourish. Thank you for giving them hope that each day will be better than the one before it. We could not do it without you!
